Race car driver-Kelly MacPhaden, who competes in the Formula F1rst class in Ontario,Canada has partnered with Alcom Enterprises Inc. - An approved agent of Telus Mobility.
Kelly MacPhaden, who has only just started racing open wheels last year, won the 2003 Formula F1rst rookie of the year, and BARC-OR Best New Driver. She also received 3rd in the Canadian Automobile Sports Clubs, and Best Lady Competitor who displayed Sportsmanship, Ability and Sparkle. Kelly also achieved 2nd in the F1rst championship last year as well.
Kelly started off the 2004 season recently with major mechanical problems but managed to secure two 2nd place finishes this past weekend at Mosport. An on track incident with a lower class race car cost her the lead that she fought hard from starting at the back of the grid. Kelly has had her share of DNF’s and is confident that her crew has found the source of the problem to her numerous engine failures.
“I was extremely disappointed at the first racing event. This engine problem was unexpected and really put me back in the point’s competition. I am confident now the problem has been solved and I am looking forward to have some good races with a car that can come through for me. I would like to thank Al Warren of Alcom Enterprises Inc. for his support for the 2004 racing season. I am quite excited to have a Telus mobility to come on board. I would also like extend my thanks to World Car Automotive Service, Aura Restaurant Bar and Lounge, Guardsman Security Service, Reptile Advertising and Design, Street Speed Racing Graphics and JPM Refinishing for their assistance in putting me behind the wheel.”
The Kelly MacPhaden Race team is continuing to race and gain valuable experience at the regional level and is expected to advance to the next level in 2005.
